Where to go on a day trip – Vlašky and the surrounding area

Bešeňová Water Park (4.5 km, 7 mins by car)

This water park, offering the ultimate in relaxation in the thermal heart of Liptov and open all year round, features nine pools filled with thermal or clear water at temperatures of up to 40⁰C. You can also unwind in the sauna world, which features dry and steam saunas, and you'll be enchanted by the sauna rituals combined with music therapy.                                                                          

Aquapark Tatralandia (18 km, 23 mins by car)

The largest year-round water park in the nearby town of Liptovský Mikuláš, featuring 14 pools, 28 slides and water chutes, all heated to a minimum temperature of 30⁰C. Here you'll find fun attractions such as Tropical Paradise, Surf Waves and Caribbean Kid's Island, as well as a Wellness & Spa centre                                                                              

ZOO-Kontakt Tatralandia (18 km, 23 mins by car)

A family park where you can marvel at the agility of the bears, admire the ferocity of the tigers and lions, the elegance of the llamas, or the playfulness of the exotic birds. Within the park, you can explore faraway places thanks to miniature replicas of famous buildings from around the world and enjoy attractions such as a children's train, boats, a water slide and a mirror maze.

Havránok Museum ( 2.5 km, 45 mins on foot)

Múzeum sa nachádza na vrchu Havránok. Ide o stálu expozíciu pozostatkov keltskej kultúry. Zachovalo sa keltské obydlie aj s rituálnym priestorom obetiska. A tiež stredoveký hrádok. K múzeu patrí aj expozícia vo veži kostola Panny Márie. Orientuje sa na históriu Liptova.          

Bešeňova Travertines (4 km, 10 mins by car)

Freshwater limestones, known as travertines, are both a Slovak treasure and a natural monument; they are situated to the north of the village of Bešeňová. The travertines are enchanting with their cascading appearance, and mineral water – which is safe to drink – actively flows down them.

Liptovská Mara Beach (15 km, 20 min autom)

The reservoir near Liptovský Mikuláš – the Liptov Sea. A popular spot for swimming, where you can also enjoy water sports such as boating, pedalos, sightseeing cruises, surfing and more. It is a well-known fishing spot.                                                                                                           

The Prosiecka Valley (10 km, 15 mins by car)

The route starts in the village of Prosiek at the entrance to the valley, where you'll be surrounded by diverse natural scenery. As well as the rocks, you'll have to tackle climbing ladders and steps over a mountain stream.                 

The Hrabov Waterfalls (25 km, 30 mins by car)

They are the ideal destination for families with children and nature lovers. The adventure trail to the waterfalls features wooden bridges, ladders, benches and suspended walkways, which are ideal for families with children. 

Kvačianska Valley (18 km, 25 mins by car)

A fairytale paradise with a babbling brook, a log cabin and a working mill. Along the way, you'll come across a waterfall, several turnings, rock formations and breathtaking views of the valley with its babbling brook.          

Malino Brdo (25 km, 30 mins by car)

The Ružomberok Ski & Bike Family Park is a ski mountaineering and skiing resort in the Liptov Mountains, where you can enjoy the winter scenery and have fun on the cable car, skiing and sledging. 

Jasná Ski Resort (35 km, 45 mins by car)

The largest ski resort in Slovakia, situated in the Demänovská Valley, below the summit of Chopok, is one of the largest and most comprehensive ski resorts in Central Europe.

Roháče-Spálená (43 km, 50 mins by car)

The resort offers ideal conditions for skiing. It is equipped with modern cable cars and slopes suitable for skiers, snowboarders and freeride enthusiasts of all abilities.
